Bob F. Hill, Broker

Bob, a native of North Carolina,
graduated at UNC Chapel Hill in 1970 and joined his
family's construction and real estate business. His
career path has led him from the family business to
managing a 5 office real estate firm in Raleigh, NC
to marketing management of a national electrical products
manufacturer to a management role in the National
Association of Home Builders 'SMART HOUSE' Project.
These relocation years for the Hill household gave
Bob and wife Jo Ann a greater appreciation for the
role a Realtor plays in making life manageable for
the family on the move. So they decided in 1996 to
take all their experiences and apply them to their
own real estate business again, but this time on the
Shores of Lake Hartwell. Later, the successes and
experience gained on Lake Hartwell led to relocating
their corporate office in 2002 to South Carolina which
is now located in Seneca on the Shores of Lake Keowee.
While in Georgia with Bob's first office location
he served in various capacities on the Habersham,
White and Stephens County Board including President
in 1998 and 1999. Bob was also selected as "Realtor
of the Year" in 1998. Bob is now serving on the
Board of Directors of the Western Upstate Association
of Realtors. Additionally, Bob has served in the Toccoa
Downtown Development Authority, Toccoa Chamber of
Commerce, Seneca Chamber of Commerce and as President
of the Newcomers Club of the Foothills.....an organization
founded in 1972 for the purpose of welcoming new residents
to the area promoting friendship, and acquainting
members with the history, culture and civic opportunites
of the Foothills area. Bob served in 2009 as Oconee
County Habitat for Humanity Site Selection Director.
In October 2006 their daughter
Heather joined the team in keeping with what seems
to be a continuing family tradition. Everyone at Bob
Hill Realty wants to provide family-style outrageous
service to their clients and customers alike. We hope

Robert
Mixon, ABR

Robert
is a fifth generation native South Carolinian from Clemson,
SC. Having moved to several southern states (AL, MS,
TN, and GA) at an early age, he returned to the upstate
in 1982. Soon after returning, he met his wife to be,
Lori, and they have been married since 1990. While she
entered the medical field in radiology, Robert embarked
on a 20 year career in the residential lighting and
home fashion industry in sales, marketing and management.
During this time he was manager of The Gallery of Lighting
in Greenville, co-owner of Riverhurst Lighting &
Design in Clemson and a manufacturer's sales representative
of fine lighting for Mixon Sales, Inc. covering North
and South Carolina. Together, Robert and Lori enjoy
raising their three daughters in Clemson.
While enjoying
all the Clemson University sports, camping, hiking and
the area lakes, Robert is also active in the community
in many ways. He currently serves as a board member
of the Oconee County Home Builders Association, previously
holding the positions of treasurer and secretary. Robert
was appointed by the City of Clemson to the Board of
Zoning Appeals from 2007 until 2011. As an active member
of the Western Upstate Association of Realtors, Robert
currently enjoys his involvement with the Realtors Political
Action Committee and fundraising endeavors.
Robert began
his career in real estate in 2005 after graduating from
The Wyatt Institute of Real Estate in Greenville, SC.
In 2007, Robert earned the Accredited Buyers Representative
(ABR) designation awarded to REALTORS by the Real Estate
Buyers Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association
of Realtors who meets the specified educational and
practical experience criteria. He affiliated with Bob
Hill Realty, Inc. in May of 2008 and began assisting
buyers and sellers utilizing his extensive knowledge
of the area.
In September,
2010, Robert was introduced as a new partner of Bob
and JoAnn Hill, taking the role of president of Bob
Hill Realty. Under this new role, Robert set forth the
company’s agent recruiting & marketing programs
and looks forward to future growth of this newly formed
bond in Bob Hill Realty.

Jo Ann Hill

Jo Ann, wife of Bob F. Hill, Broker was born in Atlantic
City, NJ and raised in Vineland, NJ. Prior to her
marriage to Bob Hill, Broker in 1971 she traveled with
American Airlines as a Flight Attendant for several
years living in Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, Dallas,
TX and New York City, NY.
After her marriage to Bob she spent the next several
years raising her 3 children with Bob and serving as
an Administrator in the dental and medical field. In
1998 she joined the staff of Bob Hill Realty as Administrator.
Currently, JoAnn works in the dual role of administration
and licensed assistant. |
Michael Hill

Mike is
a native of North Carolina who moved numerous times
during several corporate transfers from NC to SC to
MD and then to GA where he graduated high school. He
went on to attend Georgia Military College, where he
received his Associate Degree, and then proceeded to
obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing
from Georgia College & State University.
After graduation,
he began a career as a Retail Sales Representative for
an international power tool company named Makita Power
Tools. He managed retail accounts with Home Depot, Lowe’s
and Sear’s in the states of Georgia, Alabama and
South Carolina. While with Makita, he received numerous
awards, the most significant being the 2002 recognition
award for “Outstanding Performance & Sales”
in the SouthEast Division.
Mike’s
most recent award is the “2008 Seneca Sertoman
of the Year” for outstanding service to his club
and community by dedicating his time and efforts to
raise money for underprivileged children, hearing &
blind impaired and many other organizations that “Sertoma”
assists with raising monies for.
Mike is a
3rd generation real estate agent/broker who’s
early exposure to the real estate environment and perseverance
of moves, via family corporate transfers, have made
it natural for him to gravitate toward the real estate
business. Since beginning his real estate career, Mike
has obtained his ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative
Designation), GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute)
and his South Carolina Broker’s License. He is
licensed in both South Carolina and Georgia and can

Heather
Meleca

Heather is
originally from North Carolina and the daughter of Bob
and JoAnn Hill. She has moved with her family
during their corporate transfers from North Carolina
to South Carolina and then to Annapolis, Maryland where
she graduated from Annapolis High School and attended
Anne Arundel Community College with a major in Business
Management. In 1998 Heather moved with her family
to Toccoa, Georgia where she bought and and helped to
restore an historical building in the downtown area
converting it to a spa/salon and managed that business
for the next six years. Heather also during those
years served in the local high school system as a Mentor
Coordinator and Partners in Education Director. As well
as being a foster parent, she also served as secretary
for the Stephens County Georgia Foster Parent Association
and as head of the retail sector for Stephens County
Chamber of Commerce.
In 2004 she moved with her sons to Seneca where she
decided to pursue a career in real estate and joined
her parents real estate firm.......in keeping with what
appears to be a family tradition at Bob Hill Realty
. Through Heather's hard work and efforts in 2007

Mary Lee Bolen

Mary Lee,
a native of Greer, SC, graduated from Columbia College
in Elementary Education. Her first career began by teaching
first grade in Spartanburg, SC for seven years. Then
her husband's career took them to Raleigh, NC where
she started her second career as a stay-at-home Mom
with their two daughters for five years. She then
started yet another and third career in sales of custom
printing office products and promotional items for the
next twenty years. Then another opportunity came
along for Mary Lee and her family to move back to SC.
Being avid Clemson fans, they were happy to relocate
to the shores of Lake Keowee in November 2004 where
Mary Lee's husband George is now a successful homebuilder
in this area. Therefore Mary Lee's desire to continue

Donna Absher, ABR

Donna
grew up in the Northern Virginia area and had only moved
once when she married her husband, Trey. Over the next
30 years his career in sales and marketing found them
moving 10 times to 7 different states (VA, IN, NY, PA,
CA, GA, SC), finally ending up on Lake Keowee after
living 3 years in a log home on Lake Hartwell. During
these years of relocating she learned what it takes
to buy/sell/build houses and make a smooth transition
to a new area!
Donna has been employed in a variety of positions over
the past 30 years and has an extensive background in
business and technology. She is also committed to helping
others, as evidenced by her work with Oconee Habitat
for Humanity, where she spent 6 years on the Board of

Gretchen Griffin

Gretchen,
the youngest of twelve children, joined us from Washington,
DC, after a 25 year "stop over" in Minneapolis,
MN, where she and Jim, her husband of 42 years, raised
three children. During those years, while Jim flew International
routes as a Northwest Airline pilot, she managed to
fit in a degree from Metropolitan University with an
emphasis on Law and Intervention, and a Master's Degree
in Mediation/Negotiation from St Mary's University.
She worked as a Paralegal in Family Law for 17 years,
began work as a Court appointed Child Advocate, and
subsequently established her own Divorce Mediation Service.
According
to Gretchen, she arrived in South Carolina 13 years
ago, "after the Minnesota winters blew us South"
and built a home in Keowee Key. Gretchen has worked
extensively on the Keowee Key Architectural Committee;
the Marketing Committee; served as an Arbitrator in
the Oconee County Juvenile System; and completed classes
in Interior Design at the local college to help her
clients stage their homes when selling. A degree in
Mediation has prepared her for the intricacies of client
representation and a Trusted Adviser and Skilled Negotiatior.
Gretchen has also achieved her credentials as an Accredited
Buyer Representative.

Marcia West

Marcia West and
her husband, Pete, moved to Upstate SC in the summer
of 2002 to be closer to family. They formerly resided
in the town of Mukwonago, WI, which is the Indian word
for "Home of the Bear", so moving to Walhalla
made for a compatible lifestyle among the Indian culture
of Oconee County. Marcia and her husband thoroughly
enjoy Upstate SC and the Lake Keowee/ Lake Hartwell
areas, where over the past few years, they have made
many new friends and take full advantage of the lower

Barbara Brackett,SRES

Barbara was born and educated
in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduating
from Damelin College she went to England and joined
Holiday on Ice in London, following her lifelong love
of ice skating. While touring with Holiday she
met and married her husband Dewey in London.
Together they traveled the world, living in Europe
for 4 years, and 25 years in Asia--Hong Kong, Thailand,
Japan, and the Republic of the Philippines.
They have three children who now all live in South
Carolina. Barbara has worked in the book publishing
industry for the past 20 years, in Japan, Vermont,
and NYC. Dewey, after retiring from government
service, worked as a foreigh correspondent for UPI,
Knight Ridder Financial News Service, and Pacific
Stars and Stripes.
In 1995
Barbara and Dewey returned to Dewey's roots in South
Carolina and settled on the shores of beautiful Lake
Keowee. Barbara is very happy to be working in the
beautiful Carolina upstate region and looks forward
to continuing the Bob Hill tradition of professional

Eric Norman

Eric was
born in Illinois, raised in East Tennessee, and educated
in Georgia. After attending Georgia Southern College,
Eric spent over 28 years in the textile industry at
West Point Stevens managing facilities in South Carolina
at Calhoun Falls, Seneca and Clemson. During his career
in textiles, Eric had the opportunity to serve in
a variety of management positions from dyeing and
printing to quality control and plant engineering.
Eric has
been a resident of Seneca for 15 years and has been
married to his wife, Cindy for the same. He has a
10 year old son, Max and 2 grown sons, Bret and Clay.

Allen,
born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and raised
in Schenectady, New York moved South upon graduation
from high school to attend Florida Southern College.
Upon obtaining his BS degree (1968) he worked the next
fifteen years for SunTrust Banks in Atlanta and Augusta.
During that time he earned an MBA in finance from Georgia
State University (1977)
In
May, 1984 he and his famlily moved to Spartanburg, SC
and formed Allen Funk's Wallpapers and Window Blinds.
Upon selling the operation in 2002, he worked as a consultant
and licensor to the wallpaper stores.
While
in Spartanburg he served on the Board of the Spartanburg
Area Chamber of Commerce for ten years and was Chairman
of the Board in 1977, served on the Boards of the Arts
Partnership of Spartanburg and Carolina Piedmont Foundation.
Allen Currently serves as a volunteer with Greenville
Hospital System's Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital
and and is co chair of the annual Honoring Their
Service event held at Keowee Key for wounded warriors
of MARSOC (Marine Special Operations Command).
After
raising their two children, he and his wife, Ellen,
of forty years, fell in love with the Golden Corner
and purchased a home on the shores of beautiful Lake
Keowee. He joined Bob Hill Real Estate due to his observation

his agents with giving 'outrageous service' ".

Jim
was happy to discover one of the best kept secrets in
the country in June 2008. After much research on one
of the best places to live and retire in the US, he
fell in love with the Golden Corner. Jim is now happy
to call Seneca SC and Lake Keowee his home.
He personally
knows just how great the upstate really is since he
has had a lot to compare it to. Over the years, Jim
and his wife have lived in various cities throughout
the North East, Mid Atlantic and West Coast due to job
relocations . With no more moving in the future, they
finally found the place that they can call home. Prior

numerous management positions in the banking , mortgage,
and health care industry. While working for over 20
years in customer service , Jim has a favorite quote
